With 12 frets to the body and our smaller framed body shape, the Legacy Concertina sparkles with surprising sound and is fun to play. Using our Sound Optimization® process enables us to squeeze every nuance of sound and luscious tone from the European spruce top and figured koa back and sides. The decadent Cinnamon Burst is accentuated by bloodwood binding, burled redwood appointments, a slotted headstock and LR Baggs Anthem pickup. Built in our custom shop in Bend, Oregon, every guitar is hand tuned and designed to give a deflection that brings this Concertina to life.
EUROPEAN SPRUCE TOP
As a guitar top, European spruce is powerful like Adirondack, clear like Sitka, and complex and responsive like Engelmann, all of which are employed in various Breedlove guitar lines. With the Organic Pro Collection years in the making, Breedlove owner Tom Bedell literally climbed a mountain to be positive that the exotic FSC-certified tonewoods used in the assortment are harvested in responsible ways that respect the earth, while providing for superior tone that will last a lifetime. High in the windblown Swiss Alps, Bedell watched as European spruce trees were individually selected—each yielding many dozens of top sets—with an eye towards keeping the old growth stands robust for decades to come.
