You could call this guitar a collectors guitar, a players dream, or a gigging guitarists go to 6-string! The unique-ness of this custom built guitar comes in a pair - the first is the wild and interesting ziricote back! I can tell you personally, this was the exceptional piece of the stack, nothing came close to how unique this wood grain is. Even the employees at Breedlove were surprised by this wood set. The second, is the Ocean Sinker Redwood. Maybe you're familiar with regular sinker redwood, it's a common top piece for guitars. The regular sinker in freshwater is either submerged for sometime in a bog or damp environment and it soaks the minerals into the wood and preserves the wood. Well, this piece we have here is from a log that washed up on the beach in southern Oregon. A redwood tree somehow fell into the Ocean and spent time in the ocean water, which has a totally different mineral content. The result is in the wood, blacker and grayer streaks from the oxidation and minerals, creates a stiffer stronger soundboard for the top on this beauty. These are also very limited due to the ocean sinker redwood's availability, as we've already built a few guitars with this wood. Message with any questions, see details about this guitar below!
